People are seeking places that help them slow down, reconnect, learn, celebrate, heal, and gather with intention.
Under Domes exists to protect historic places and bring them back to life through meaningful hospitality. Our work begins with Solar de Alcains, a Portuguese estate where architecture, landscape, gathering, and rest come together.
The brand is broader than one retreat. It is an estate and hospitality platform for private gatherings, facilitator-led retreats, co-hosted programs, done-for-you retreat production, family celebrations, community events, and curated wellness experiences.

Shailesh Poddar
Shailesh’s work has long centered on building places, communities, and meaningful ventures. Under Domes brings together his interest in heritage, sustainability, hospitality, entrepreneurship, and spaces that support human transformation.
At Solar de Alcains, the vision is not simply to operate a property. It is to create a setting where guests, families, communities, facilitators, and leaders can step away from pressure and return to clarity, beauty, and connection.
OUR WORLD
Under Domes, Solar de Alcains, and 52X Wellness Collection.
Under Domes is the estate and hospitality platform. Solar de Alcains is our first heritage estate in Central Portugal. 52X Wellness Collection is the curated wellness programming concept associated with selected retreat experiences.
Not every Under Domes gathering is a 52X program. The relationship allows the estate to support both private hospitality and deeper wellness-led experiences.
